Is it normal that I dont fell comfortable having you know sex while I'm on my period. Note I'm a teen

Yes. First off, It's a personal preference. You just don't like it. Maybe you feel unclean, embarrassed, whatever. When it comes to sex and your body, YOU decide what's okay. Second, your hormone levels fluctuate during menstruation, and your libido may drop, giving you a PHYSICAL reason for not being interested in sex. Other women have an increased libido (like myself) and actually want it more. The good thing for you is, sex during your period is leading cause of endometriosis, and your actually keeping yourself healthier. (the "plunger" effect from the intercourse causes the endometrial lining to get pulled out of the uterus). Don't worry about what's "normal" in the bedroom, it's YOUR body honey. Enjoy it, anyway you want.

Sure it's normal. Some women feel more sexual when they are on their periods, others feel less sexy. If you're having physical pain like cramps while you are on your period then that doesn't tend to make you wild with desire.
Just try and keep in mind that your period is a natural part of womanhood, and it's not dirty or gross. Love your body in all its phases (geez, could I sound more hippieish?). If sex during your period is part of that, that's cool, if not, it's also cool.

my gf likes doing it in the shower on her period. she says it speeds her period up overall by a day and makes her flow seem lighter since it helps pull out the blood and clots. I've never heard about it causing endometriosis and we've never had a problem with that, but I'm gonna ask her about it now, and be a lot more gentle(even though I do already).

I'm going to be BLUNT with my Answer, YES :) Even I don't feel comfortable having sex on my cycle. Who would, really. If you don't feel comfortable having sex while on it then don't. It is toatlly normal.
