I have a friend who likes someone who is completely not into her. He says very rude things about her behind her back, but because he's all nice to her when she's around, she still thinks HE likes HER. I don't want to just come out and tell her "He hates you", which is true -- but she has a very low self-esteem and I don't want to hurt her. But she still thinks he likes her, and that she holds something above him! What should I tell her? She's liked him for four years now! I need it to stop!!

The best way to tell her is to take her aside and tell her the situations that you've witnessed. Be on her side and support her. Tell her that you understand that she can't help who she likes but you hope that she'll get over this guy because he's so rude about he behind her back and she deserves more than that. It would probably hurt her more to think that this guy genuinely likes her and find out that you didn't tell her. Tell her alone and be ready with the cookie dough and tissues. I hope you are able to tell her and support her!

Why don't you stick up for your friend and go tell that guy to stop being an a s s! You shouldn't let your friend get walked on like that and you certianly shouldn't let him say rude things about her!

Then, tell your friend that you overheard that he's really actually a mean guy and breaks girls hearts all the time and you hope she can move on so she doesn't get hurt.

Shame on you...stick up for your friend!

Tell her...she deserves to know. Don't ya think? Sooner or later it's gonna come out and the longer the wait...the more the hurt. Just tell her something like "I don't think he likes you." I bet she'll get mad at you, but she'll find out, and the she'll apologise about getting mad, and probably thank you.

Tell her to go find herself a nice guy instead of a "bad boy."
