I admit that I too have been a bit of a dick, but I feel like I've witnessed what this country stands for, and that's something that I was always very skeptical about. I really do think the people had an effect just by voting, and even though this doesn't completely satisfy one "Party's" means, it still proves to me that America is...well...a great place that still contains a lot of it's essential values for survival.

Of course, it can be argued that the two parties that always battle for supremacy are essentially the same when it comes down to profiteering, etc. Power is important in a capitalistic society, in any society specifically.

But, we are all brothers and sisters, and I would be damned if I were to avoid a person just because he held a different political belief than mine.

Maybe it's just easy for us to vent anger over the internet?

I noted that bush was still spouting campaign trash today. Some of the press were really funny, sure to be on his enemy list (if they weren't already).

I don't agree that the LEADERSHIP of the two parties is essentially the same-

the Repubs have been rubbing in the Dems faces for 6 YEARS

they control 95% of the media - the Dems came of near extinction with very little media help
Air America - a small but powerful voice against the likes of FOX, ABC, NBC, Clear Channel, Rupert Murdock, and so many other right wing held richer-than-God media voices - and books stores may be more lib- but there also plenty of neo books there too - (Ann Coulter et al)

So don't be sore losers, righties- you got it coming, you really do- and you better buckle up and put on a face shield, because it ain't over yet, it's just getting started-

>>>a further strengthening of what some call the "monoculture" of US broadcasting, giving the media giants such as Viacom, AOL Time Warner, General Electric unit NBC and radio powerhouse Clear Channel more power<<< quote from source

Well if your a Lib and you have known you were right all along, why not take it upon yourself to argue with everything you got against those who are wrong, un-educated, and trying to shove their own correctness down your throat without reason or proof?

And then a "parting of the Red Sea" event like the election takes place and all the righty's are dumbfounded. All their heroes are booted and they start to think--How could this have happened??

"You can fool all of the people some of the time, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people--all of the time"---Get the drift---Ride the tide!!!

It is easier to do it with anonymity for many people. My brain shuts down on a face to face debate, or even plain conversation. I communicate much much better through written word. I think a lot of the animosity has to do with the animosity before the election. people have been calling eachothers party names and slandering eachother for a long time leading up to this. Now that its over, its pretty much a free-for-all for the winners, with the stubborn, single minded losers staying almost completely away. there is a difference between the Reps and Dems, but its on the lobbyist level. All the tactics, immorality and lies are what they have in common.

because the dummycrats lied and decieved everyone on Iraq. Starting jan whatever Nancy Pelosi will lead the charge to DEMAND the troops come home NOW! (CUT AND RUN) That has been their plan since the war began. To make it worse Queen ***** Hillary is looking at her old white house photos and planning to serve milk and cookies to UBL, Kim Yon whatever and that Iranai nitwit. The democarts have no clue about reality and wants to go back to the clinton era with a "new face" in Hillary and we ALL know what happened in that hellish time.

That is why we are pised the people were duped and now we are in for 10 years or terror attacks and a president who would rather serve milk and cookies than him thm where THEY LIVE!

I never vote for someone because they belong to a certain party, i vote for the person i feel is best qualified for the job. Yesterday i voted for some Democrats on a local level but mostly republicans on the National level, Security should be at the forefront of everyone's mind and i believe Democrats are soft on security, we will now find out.

Where I come from people are angry because of problems and failure to follow proper protocol in counting votes... … there are rules which are in place to keep the integrity of the vote count if the election officials do not follow the rules they themselves have mad - damn right we all should be outraged.

Also the fact that there is not a national standard makes people feel uncertain their vote is really counted and in many cases people feel they shouldn’t t even make the effort to get out and vote – I think that is sad and it make me angry – you got a problem with that!?

Agreed. The American people, or at least the majority of them, had their will appeased by the election, and thats what our fore fathers died for, the right to participate in government. I only get mad about it when the Dems act like idiots and start gloating and rubbing it in the Reps faces. Other wise I'm fine sticking to real issues like the future of America
