I ‘ve heard for people who are in hunger strike for 60 and 80 days. How is that possible?

hunger strikes are not really the nonconsumption of any food. generally, people striking will consume clear liquids and vitamins.. the general rule is 3 minutes with out air, 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food. After that, the brain just stops working.

it depends on how much mass is on the person's body, and how fit they are. the bigger they are, the longer they will live, but that dosent mean that they will be awake tho =) they might pass out but still have their bodies living. they Do need some kind of liquid though. usually for the average human is about a month.

I don't quite know for sure, but the body's metabolism slows down so you don't need anything like as much energy - slower heart rate, lower blood pressure.
Then the body starts consuming its reserves of fat for energy.
