Lie and tell them that you have to watch an "R" rated documentary movie for English class and do an essay on why films today are not for younger children, if they do their homework they will se that it is a documentary and they might fall for it!....hey, it always worked for me ;)

Basically you are going to have to take them with you to even get in the theater. Lying doesn't work anymore and your friends 20 year old brother/cousin/fake ided neighbor would actually have to sit through the movie and that won't happen.
Tell your parents why you want to see it and ask whether it has to be in theaters or if they can rent the PG-13 version(they will carry this at Blockbusters) when it comes out. Be reasonable about it and don't push too hard or else you'll never be allowed to see an R until you eighteen and can get in on your own.
Sorry, your just going to have to take what you can get.

I know what you want to hear, but I'm sorry, I think your parents have a right to choose whether or not you can watch a rated R or even a rated G movie. Sometimes parents know what they are doing, even if it may seem to you like a "harmless movie," there are some things that shouldn't be seen.

When you start acting mature enough to see a R rated movie, then your parents will let you. Until then, you are just out of luck.

God, sometimes I wish it wasn't that easy for underage kids to see rated R movies. They always ruin the movie for people who can actually see it! With their talking and their giggling...and their making out...ugh!

How old are you? My son is 11 and he is definitely not allowed to watch them.

If you're 17, there should be no problem, just go. I suspect you are not 17.
