Yes you should because even though Kierlienko gives you defense and decent scoring as does Gerald Wallace you should get help for offense for Carmelo and GInobli.

Probably a good trade for you, but in my opinion it's not as clear cut as others would make it. So far this season neither GW nor AK have been putting up numbers like last season, but there's barely been 1 week and Wallace got crashed into Danny Granger when Charlotte played Indiana and that might have thrown him off a game. I think both of these guys get up to speed soon.

If it were me I might stick with AK and Wallace, but that is because I like steal and block guys and I like guard eligibles who rebound (although I think Wallace's rebound numbers take a hit this year, see below). The question you need to ask yourself is what categories do you need? The guys you have are better in St/Blk/Reb, the new guys are better in PTS/AST/3PTM/FT%. There isn't a huge difference in FG% between the guys. At first glance you are trading away 3 cats to get 4, which is good, but I think the hit that you are taking in steals and blocks is very substantial and you need to make sure that you either have other guys who can fill that hole, or that you are going to be dominant enough in other categories to make up for it.

As for the effects on your team...

What you lose:

Position flexibility - AK is SF/PF, GW is SG/SF, Ginobili and Anthony only play SG and SF respectively. Not a huge loss if you were already playing AK at SF and GW at SG but still something to take into consideration

Blocks - AK averaged over 3 blocks a game last year and GW over 2. Ginobili and Anthony each averaged around .5. So you take a big hit here, assuming everyone does roughly what they did last season. This is a pretty substantial drop in the blocks category, unless you have another major shot blocker on your team or on the wire then the loss of these two guys is going to have a huge impact.

Steals - AK got 1.5, GW 2.5, meanwhile MG got 1.5 and CA about 1. Again, the guys haven't been upllying these numbers yet, but they will. You take a big hit on your steals

Rebounds - AK= 8, GW=7.5, MG=3.5, CA=5. There is apparently a big drop here as well, however I don't think Wallace is going to put up the rebound numbers like last year because Okafor and May are going to cut into those numbers big time.

What you gain:

Points - AK=15 GW=15, MG=15 CA=26.5. I see no reason why Manu and Melo would put up lower point numbers than last year, AK and Wallace are both on teams that are better now and have more options around them. I think the points get spread out in Utah and Charlotte, so you definitely will improve your scoring by the trade

Assists - AK had 4, GW had just under 2, MG had about 4, CA had just under 3. I think all of these guys except Manu get less assists this season than last. Utah is going to see more confident play from Deron Williams, Charlotte is getting strong play from Knight and Felton, Denver got Andre Miller and he is going to go nuts up there. You definitley come out ahead on assists here, but I don't think that any of these guys are going to put up significant numbers in assists.

3PTM - AK and Wallace will combine for less than 1 three pointer a day, Manu and Melo should get you around 2 a game. Realistially over the course of the season you could get about 80 more 3s out of the new guys, that could be enough to move you past a couple guys in your league.

FT% - Manu and Melo together get to the line slightly more than the other guys and hit their shots way more often. Definite plus.

I hope all that helps you make your decision!

Yes you should, Wallace is not bad, but not great. Kiralenko is stuggling. melo he is stuggling but he is the star of that team so dont worry. and Ginobili he is balling right now.
