i have a 96 civic ex d16y8 and will swap it to a b18b obd2 motor(acura 96~00 ls/rs/gs)?
here are the questions?
1.will i need new motor mounts?
2.will i need axles?
3.will the motor fit right in without any welding and adjustments.
4.is $1850 a good price for a obd2 jdm b18b motor/tranny/wiring harness/ecu/45k miles approx/shipping and handling?

You need to check on line at motor swap.com and 1850 I would not pay it unless i saw the car it came out of and it had a warranty on it you will be out enough time and labor if it don't work not counting change over parts,what about the computer you know you will need it.Hay, do what you want i know another person that has done the same got a bad motor 5 months ago he still has not got his money back yet after having to pay to send it back.

Yes thats a very common swap for honda civics..i believe it bolts right up.


if i were you..id sell that civic and buy an integra if you want that motor..itd be cheaper

Those guys know everything there is to know about exactly what you're talking about. And I think you can buy a "swap kit" but still definately check out that site. It helps me all the time.

yes to all but except to #3 you will need teggy axels and the price is way too high i get **** like that for the whole swap for 500 but the choice is yours all i work on are singles and i spank type-r's all the time with my z6.

to answer the first three questions yes you will but hasport has a complete kit so look them up and thats a good price for all that stuff if its in working order
