If we're all broken, that must mean that there's a concept of a person that's not broken, similar to the idea that there are lots of broken pots, so there must be a concept of a pot that's not broken.

I suggest you're in the realms of religion here, and should think about this question spiritually, not philosophically.

I can see where you are coming from, though. We're all imperfect, and we have given the power to perfect ourselves through freedom of choice and self-will. In that case I'd agree with your premise, that none of us are perfect, but that we have been given the power to perfect ourselves, and no one else can perfect us but ourselves.

Your living in a dream world , In this country the philosophy is for you to go to your health provider (doctor or shrink) take the prescription that the drug company has provided them with and you will feel better at least until your health insurance provider
lets you know your not covered, and you don't have the money. Then your theory of self help sure sounds like a possibility.

No, because we don't all have the power to fix ourselves. It is true, however, that we each are the only ones who can fix ourselves, no one else can do it for you. If we lack the power at the time to fix ourselves, we do have the ability to gather that power from outside of ourselves bring it within.

Want to share a story with you!

A water bearer had two large pots, each hung on the end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots was perfectly made and never leaked. The other pot had a crack in it and by the time the water bearer reached his master's house it had leaked much of it's water and was only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering
only one and a half pots full of water to his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke
to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you." The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path."

Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of
the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again the pot apologized to the bearer for its failure.

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty
to grace his house."

Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots.
Acknowledge your faults, and you too can be the cause of beauty. Know that in our weakness we find our strength.

It is possible. Actually perhaps we are all dead- it's just that nobody told us so yet. Yes, nobody but ourselves can identify our own faults and take the necessary steps in order to effectuate change and improvement.

yes and no. We are all broken, but we can't fix ourselves. Only God can, and only through Jesus Christ can we or will we be fixed. And that means only those who choose to obey Him and His Gospel will really truly ever be fixed.

Yes! Only YOU can choose to not be a victim anymore, only YOU can choose whether to be healed or not, and yes YOU can choose and decide what kind of life you want. Good luck!
