AVG and Avast are both JUNK. I recommend active virus shield. It is the best one and it is free.

Only have ONE antivirus on you computer at one time. If I were you, I would try these three free programs and choose the one you like:

Avast, no doubt.
Registration is free, and valid for more than a year.
Never found an easier and more efficient antivirus, and I've tried quite a few.
