what for and what do you mean change rotation a dc motor will only turn one way the way it is wired internally.

It should be a matter of reversing polarity on the wires but as I'm not sure what your setup is, you may have to insulate the unit on account of grounding, but we built an electric OM competition car using tractor starter/genrators and ran it in reverse by switching polarity without any trouble, but they weren't Cub Cadet, but may have Delco, not sure now.

On dc motor just reverse polarity.
