i need a record deal......all of my friendz tell me that i have the best voice.......and they mean it......they ask me to sing all the time...........so........how do i get a record deal?.............im not old enough to go on american idol yet......and in like....2 years....i will be....but....what if i dont make it?.............please..........how do i get a record deal???????

Is it just me or is every idiot on the planet dreaming of the sacred "record deal." Sweetheart, stay in school, and quit dreaming of the "easy way" that doesnt exist. For every one person that releases an album (successful) , there are millions that are sadly dissappointed.
One question. AS A MATTER OF FACT! I AM HIJACKING THIS QUESTION (its official now).
If everyone in the country is a singer, or "rap artist" , who is going to be left to the buy the records? Will it be like " I'll buy yours if you buy mine"?

I have read a lot on this subject. The first step I recommend you take is to record a professional demo and to mail it to local, independent labels, as well as to A&R departments of major labels. You might want to post some of your recorded music on sites, such as mp3.com and Soundclick.com and see what kinds of reviews you get. Try and follow some vocal coaching levels, to help improve your voice. I wish you the best of luck.
