I heard Karl Rove predict the Republicans would hold both the house and the Senate. HE of all people knew damn well they wouldn't hold the house. He made the prediction to inspire Republicans to keep fighting and vote. It was a lie for political reasons. Is it okay to lie for political gain?

There's nothing we can do about this, everybody lies. Look at the celebraties, they won't admit they're dating even if they are, or won't admit their marriage is falling apart even though they're preparing for divorce. If you're not able to lie, you can never become a politician. The only thing we can do is to decipher what they say and make our best judgement.

Jeez after 9/11 anybody with 0.5 a concepts could have envisioned that there could be different plots to attack considerable cities in the same manor. If Karl Rove suggested it. Gosh it's going to be genuine.

The Rove magic did not work in 2006. Perhaps Karl needs to find another job.

I will not attempt to answer your latter question, but allow me to comment.

While Karl Rove (and Bush, and Rumsfeld, and Cheney...) lied (they ALL stated that they would keep Congress for sure), there was no gain to it. So pay no more attention to it than you did Janet Jackson's nipple during mid-game, just enjoy the moment =)

And now, Rove will just kind of fade away and sink into the sunset and will be forgotten about in a year or two. He failed miserably in his attempt and had to lie to try and stir up the troops. It didn't work, so now he's dead meat. He will NOT be missed.

with all the lies this administration has told you over the past 6 years...THIS is the one you jump on?

Lies are always told during elections - by all parties - but mostly by the ones in the greatest danger of losing their power.

No one is surprised that he lies all the time.

That's how his career of dirty politics was made.
