I put the radio onto the talk radio station, which I try to take with a grain of salt, and listened to Hannity today. I heard a very interesting point... In 2000, 2002, and 2004 the Republicans were successful. The accusations of election fraud were rampant. This time, with all that hype coming up before the elections about the Diebold machines with no paper trail, the Democrats win. Where are all the cries about electoral fraud now? I bet if the Republicans came out with control of both houses the left would've been howling. As you can see the right is not whining and is instead peacefully handing over power. Are the Democrats just sore losers?

Just so everyone knows, I'm a Libertarian/Small Government conservative. I went into this election hoping for the Dems to gain slight majorities in both houses just to shake things up a bit. The Republicans in power were too corrupt and too liberal (big government). They pandered a little to the social conservatives (not me). They also tried to appease some of the liberals by expanding the entitlement programs...
Instead of being the party of Goldwater they became Democrat lite...

By saying "there was no fraud" I'm referring to the absence of any talk of it. You may remember on election night in 2002 and 2004 while the polls were still open there were cries of election fraud...

Agreed. If Diebold was such a big issue, and the Dems were screaming about it days before the election, with their win, why are they not curious to know if their own win had anything to do with it. Hell, I'm not about to cry voter fraud, but I will say its hypocritical to only whine and complain about fraud only if you lose. Reps were respectable today, Bush was nice to Pelosi, and everyone is stepping down quietly. I only wish the Dems would have done the same in the past

And the phone calls telling people their polling places had changed, or that they would be arrested if they went to vote - don't those count as a sort of election fraud? Why are you saying the Dems are sore losers? We won, right? The only election that matters now is this one.
Not to mention the fact that in the years you noted, there was rampant documented election fraud on the part of the Republicans, primarily in Florida. Or have we forgotten about the black voter profiling instituted by Katherine Harris and Jeb Bush?

easily, particularly some human beings suggested there replaced into election fraud while John Kennedy beat Richard Nixon in 1960. only placed "Kennedy Nixon election fraud 1960" on a seek engine and you will locate particularly some references. The election in 2000 is barely presidential election i'm able to think of of the place Repuplicans have been accused of that. i do no longer pay sufficient interest to Governor elections exterior of my own state to even have an opinion approximately that.

How do you know there was no fraud? So far today I've heard about a southwestern city that had more registered voters than citizens. A pollster was caught with write in ballots for Democrats that he did not turn in. Nightmare stories about lines, machine errors.
Funny, people just see what they want to see in order to validate their belief systems.

Joe, Just as you, I too am a registered small government Libritarian. To answer your question it will take too parts. First, there were several reports of polling issues, including a Democratic poll worker who let several people cast multiple votes. Second, Yes they are sore losers.

There's still time. The Virginia Senate race is still under way, so wait until Allen is suddenly pronounced the winner (while Webb's 0.5% lead evaporates all of a sudden), Webb countersuits for re-recount and the Supreme Court stops the process altogether!
