Because trashing Bush is all they can do, since they don't have any fresh idea of their own. Look for more to come in the next two years, in spite of their promises of bi-partisanship.

the army Commissions Act, which he signed October 17, enables the President to declare anybody he desires an enemy combatant and have them held with out recourse to a choose by habeas corpus. If the Dems hinder despite the fact that George desires, he will start up with Nancy Pelosi and Ted Kennedy, turning each over to Mark Foley to do with as he desires. After adequate Dems disappear, the remainer, below the management of Joe Lieberman, will see the sunshine.

Apples and oranges. Taking control of Congress does not relieve President Bush of his obligation to come clean with the American people.
Many democrats believe that President Bush misled this country into an unnecessary and immoral war. Many democrats believe that George Bush had some foreknowledge about the attacks on the WTC on 9-11.
No, President Bush is not off the hook by a long shot. Quite the opposite. Many democrats want the Democatic controlled House to commence investigations into 9-11, the war in Iraq, war profiteering, illegal surveillance, illegal prisons, and the list goes on. Oh, no, Mr. Bush is not off the cook. The democrats are going to turn up the heat.

Because his job performance and his attitude didn't magically get remedied over this election. The elections weren't a magic wand that all of a sudden made him our friend who we should forgive.
Edit:
If it is wrong to be upset at someones lacking performance then I am ok with the title bitter lib. Seems however I may be in good company seeing that the elections certainly didn't go the Republican way this time around. However it seems the one who may be bitter is yourself or perhaps you are just attempting to be a flame thread starter.
However get it right because someone does not like the man in office that doesn't make them automatically a "lib." When you know what you are talking about more please try to come back online and ask a question where you don't get "bitter" because people gave you the answer you didn't want to hear.

Give me an example ...I mean Bush is not very good, but we knew that in March 2003 we he drug our country through the slums by invading the wrong middle-eastern country...
We are satisfied with the election. We are going to increase middle wage, allow medicaire to negotiate with pharmaceutical companies, reduce interest rates for college students, Legislate the goals of the 9/11 commission...
These are issues Americans care about...
Remember those phony emotional issues you neocons brought to the table...Flag Burning, Getting a special session of house and senate to force Terri Schiavo to stay alive against her own wishes, Marriage amendmants....
I am not saying these things are unimportant...Just not as important as securing the borders... Increasing the minimum wage..and things that really affect our lives...You guys had the senat and house for 6 years and tried to legislate your morality...We will have control 6 days and we will speak to all these issues that affect us...

oh for heavens sake, even the republican candidates themselves were running as far away from Bush as they could when he went to go campaign for them. Aren't you embarrassed to call yourself a Republican? In case you don't have the sense to be , don't worry , the Democrats are embarrassed for you. And we'll step in to clean up the mess you created when you voted that man into office.

I haven't heard what you speak of. But then, I didn't know they got the senate, either! There was one defining vote still open in Virginia last I looked. Now I don't have to watch the news! Thanks for the information!

After all he is the leader of the right wing . He is the assho3e who got us into this war and incredible debt . I think he deserves a little credit for totally messing up this country while getting down on his knees to service the rich . If you aren't rich and still support this Pres. you don't see the light

The only answer I can give you is, "Because he's still a dumb-@ss".
It was there, I had to take it! ;)
Honestly, I think it's ridiculous that we all spend so much time putting each other down, and so little time trying to solve problems. If our politicians spent as much time working to better America, as they do digging up skeletons in each others closets, just imagine what we could do!!
