when all the oil in the world has gone will America become a nation like Africa?

With oil inevitably going to run out and Americas refusal to prepare itself for that day will it go backwards into the dark ages. Are Americans worried or blinkered?

First of all, the oil in the world will never run out. It will just keep getting more expensive, up to the point where other energy sources replace it. Second, it's far more likely that Africa becomes like America than the other way around.

Other types of power will be discovered. The cheapest and most available is the sun. We just need to learn to harness it's energy cheaply.

Yes, oil will run out and cars, as we know them, will NOT exist. In fact, you younger people will live to see privately owned automobiles OUTLAWED. Yes, outlawed. Only certain people will be allowed to have them. Before that, fuel will be rationed. Cars will become non-existent. Mass transit will become the norm just like it was many years ago, when I was a kid. Horses, mules, wagons, and walking was the norm. A car was a conversation piece. Trains and other forms of mass transit will become more popular and a necessity. Other countries are using these methods now.

Some of the methods being studied such as engines that burn Hydrogen and some of the other ones, such as the engine that supposedly burned water may eventually work out. HOWEVER, will earth become like Mars? We use all the water and hydrogen up and we will be left with a dead and dry planet. Remember water IS H2O. Think about it.

One last tidbit. According to Bible prophecy, Israel will discover an oil field or fields, even more than Iran, Iraq and the others. I certainly hope so!!! Good luck. Pops

Americans are stupidly following the path of least resistance. However, there is enough oil in just the Alberta tar sands to keep both Canada and America in oil for hundreds of years, if Ford and GM stop selling suvs to city dwellers
