Actually, this message is specific to Windows 95/98, so you are NOT running Windows XP. Do not use the advise from others, as most of the suggestions and software they list will not work on your machine properly. Windows XP is a completely different operating system than what you have.

Please go to the Microsoft website and read their help and support page on this specific issue. Click below, and good luck!

Sounds like it is hanging up when you shut down. Try hitting Alt + F4. And after a bit do it again. Then at end you will see turn off? and you can hit Alt + U for the final action at turning off. Some programs have to be shut down manually. Have you added anything lately?

If you have to turn it off press and hold the off/on button for 8 seconds
this is not recommended but it works

You probably do have XP, get some antivirus stuff and clean up your machine.

Well, there might be a problem with the wiring. In that case, ull have to get a technician specializing in computers to take it apart and look at it.
