Forget it. You don't go to Surgut to party. You go there to work and get the hell out as soon as you can...

Well, there's an awful pink nightclub called Akvilon and there's another awful nightclub but i don't remember what it's called and there's a lot of trouble there anyway so don't bother. Ooo, just remembered it's called Night City.

There are lots of cafes but my personal favourite is Cafe Avrora (near the cinema of the same name).

Also, speak to a local about arranging a banya (Russian sauna) and try 'walrussing'. Sometime in January (around the 25th i think), they drill a hole in the ice on the river and you can go for a little swim. Not recommended if you have any health probs though!

The previous post is right. You have to make your own entertainment in Siberia. It's a cool place though. Have fun!

Unlike America where you can always find a party, in Russia, the Party finds you.

There's really not much nightlife in Russia outside of Moscow or St. Petersburg. You might try The Medvezhy Ugol Hotel in Surgat. They have restaurants, billiards, bowling, and saunas. Or maybe Best Eastern Medvezhiy Ugol. That's about it.
