just get a habitrail and keep it as a pet.
You can nurse it back to health. It probably wont be able to survive long outside with the injuries it has sustained.
I caught one once and kept it as a pet it was pretty cool.

If the little guy is hurt that bad, the kindest thing you can do is kill it. I know that is harsh, but it stands no chance of surviving in the wild. To let it go is just prolonging its agony.

So unless you want to put it into a habi-trail and take care of it (and even then it will likely still die), I see no other option. The quickest way to do it is to hold its head in one hand and the body in the other and quickly pull the two away from each other. It is comparable to hanging and very quick.

I'm sorry, but sometimes that is the kindest thing.

I'm with the folks who say take it to a vet... or perhaps the animal shelter for euthanizing. They're supposedly nice people also.

If you want to kill it humanely, I know this sounds bad, but put it in a box with something comfortable, put box in the freezer, take it out in the morning and bury it. Hypothermia is a painless death, it will just go to sleep.

Sorry. :-(

honestly with his injuries the only humane things to do is take it to the vet for care (ha- who's gonna spend that much on a field mouse,) let the vet put it to sleep (which is REAAAAAAL cheap) or have it's neck broken to put it out of it's misery. if you let it go, it will just die a slow, slow painful death. don't have it suffer whatever you decide.

Best thing you can do is kill it. Why should it suffer? You could take it to the vet and give him (or her) a story to tell at happy hour on the way home.

yeah that mouse sounds like he's in a pretty sorry shape and probably in pain. your choices are to take care of it until his end of days or save him the pain and mercy kill him. drowning is a pretty good method otherwise a blunt trauma to the head.

I think you should try your best. But also, it would help if you just brought it in to you local vet and have it humainly handled. i had a cat we did that to, it was sad, but it was the best way to do it.
