Why do "giants", like in all the movies, walk slowly and never run?
There proportion is all that increases so why do they walk so slowly?
It doesn't make sense.

It is to showcase their impressive size. If they don't show it that way with the camera panning slowly it wouldn't be as amazing. That's the best I could come up with.

It real life it has to do with muscular-skeleto problems associated with being very tall. If you remember Andre the Giant, the old wrestler, he couldnt move very quickly. The same applies to some of very tall basketball players. In particular, there used to be a Chinese woman who never ran, she used to just walk to the basket and put the ball in.

It's hard for the camera crews to keep up with them. Some one put it in the monsters contract to walk slowly and destroy Tokyo every couple of years to keep construction workers busy.

They dun have too. Simple. If your single walking stride is over a hundred yards you don't have too worry about people out running you.

And you're a gaint! Who's gonna chase you?!

In short! They dun run on account of they dun have to.

they're big so they can't watch where they're going, and besides...dinasours are known to have tiny brains, so i assume it applies to giants...so they cant process the thought of running and watching where they're going at the same time

It hurts their feet when they step on the little people's houses and cars and especially trees-so they watch their step and it slows them down.

'Cause they are carrying more weight. Think about an elephant, they move slow.

its either that or a dumb movie cliche, you pick.
