If I think I know where you are going with this, NO IT IS NOT!
There is not as much overt gore as might be in a movie, but BAD things happen to the good guys, especially to the heroine! It is an excellent show, quite intelligent, though a bit soap-opera-ish (episodic, story line getting unfocused and getting into relationships, etc.) in it's latter days. Some tweenies might deal with it just fine because a lot of the violence is implied and the terror might be over their heads. But it IS there.

I'm 13 and I watch Alias, so yes it is. It has some killing, mostly bad guys. Some kissing/sex (not explicit, just suggestive).
You should watch it as it is very good!
