I play a 89 year old female in a little scene I am going to be doing in front of my class. I really have no idea how to act like an 89 year old female. I need help. I really have no idea how I would act like an 89 year old. Any ideas? Anyone?

Go to an area in the city where you live where there are a lot of old ladies, such as a park or mall. Sit on a bench and observe the old ladies. Watch how they walk. Observe their their hand movements, how they cross their legs, if they talk to someone, do lean forward or away, do that sit straight or hunched forward or lean backward against the bench. When you get home put your observations of the body language inside your body. Pretend you're 89 years old. You want to be an actor . . .

Without knowing how long you have to prepare, or your level of interest, I suggest the best way is by observing. Be around people that age and study them. Do you have access to malls, senior centers, nursing homes, bingo halls, churches?
