I've seen friends and familys lives go down the drain, the pain is unreal too believe, the grieve and sorrow, knowin that there may not be a tomorrow, trying to be legit and pay the rent, get evicted my family and i will be sleepin in a tent on the lawn, while the rich men live with fancy cars and big houses, well we sleep on the streets cold hard ground
moms had to sleep around to get us money to survive, its a wonder we're still a live living on a dollar a day, getting away was like a fantasy in this hood, dreamin of a day where everything was good, no violence and drugs, no dead bodies in the mud, lost memories and blood. Have you ever put salt on your food before you ever tasted it? or got a doggie bag, because ghetto people aint wastin ****? i know how you feel, my moms worked so hard too to provide me and my brother with a hot meal for once, heck it was a blessin if we got 1 a month. the winters were especially hard, campin out in the neighbours backyard

i looked up in the sky trying to find the man upstairs, because no one else is answerin my prayers. it seems as if no one cares, my back was bare no clothes, ghetto homes, card board boxes and tents on the side of the road, as the people pass by feelin sorry, i tell you my story so you can relate to this, knowin that all the ghetto people could get their wish to get out of the struggle of poverty, but then would the police bother me? see a young black man come up, finnaly got my own home and car, while still bein legit, ill say like my man pac, its hard to make a dollar out of 15 cents. even the hardest of thugs cry, seein there lil brothers get wasted from the drive by. every tear that i cry is for all my friends no longer breathin, feelin for they moms and pops.
