Goonies for me because it was humorous & more light-hearted kiddie stuff than the more serious Stand By Me. I do love both movies though! Great acting in Stand By Me, but I have to be in the mood to watch that one because it's more serious.

Goonies. Only because its a pretty light hearted adventure and not as depressing as Stand by Me. Both are good 80's flicks.

Are you kidding!!! THE GOONIES! Hell yeah. I am from the area it was filmed in and we grew up on the Goonies. They are my favorite of all time...plz compare them to something harder to choose between next time..

Stand By Me is the better movie. I do understand that many like The Goonies because it is simple fun too.

The Goonies, because it's an adventure and it's kinda scary..plus great actors. I like Stand by me also but not half as much.
