If it's a spending bill he won't veto. Bush thinks money grows on trees.

He can use the Veto--but to his own party's demise. When legislation is plopped on his desk that is passed by the House and Senate a Veto by him on Bi-partisan legislation will not do. Legislation put on his desk that is down Democratic party lines that gets vetoed has a better chance of over-ridden and would do his party no good except as to further the Democratic party's arguement that Bush and the Republicans are not giving Americans the policies they mandate through the congressional process. We'll see come January....

I expect him to give ground on some spending bills in return for cooperation on things he considers more important.
