I went through this a few weeks ago with my son. I called the Doc and they told me as long as he was not fussy and seemed happy there was nothing for me to worry about. They suggested trying a hot bath for the baby or something warm on his belly and/or take her temp in her but in order to stimulate him. It was just my luck that after I called them her went.
Good Luck!!

Never give your baby juice, water, or anything other fluid aside from Breastmilk or formula, unless your doctor tells you directly to do it. Breastmilk and formula are all your baby needs in terms of water and hydration. If they're dehydrated, just give them more formula or breastmilk. Chances are, that's not what the cause is now.

If your baby is breastfed only, do not worry. BF babies use a great majority of the nutrience in breastmilk, so there is not a lot of waste. A lot of exclusively breastfed babies skip a day or two... Or more of pooping. My daughter averages one poop per week.

If your baby is formula fed, wait for signs of distress or fussiness that is unusual for your baby (You know her best, mom!) If she doesn't poop within a 48 hour period, call your doctor and ask for their opinion.

She's 3 months old, so she could be going through a growth spurt, so she's using up all that milk/formula!

I would call your daughters doctor. I recall having this happen with my son. Babies do not have to poop as much when they get a little bit of age onto them. I panicked too. Could she be constipated? If she is spitting up a lot than I would call her doctor and ask. I am not an expert. Is she vomiting her stomach contents or spitting up a little? Does she have a temp? This is all info that the doctor will ask you. Good luck.

Is her tummy hard? Babies don't always poop every day. Spitting up is normal, vomiting isn't. If her tummy is hard then she could have stool backup and she'll need to see a Dr. If you are so overly concerned about her not passing a stool give her some juice {yeah i know alot of people will be against this and give thumbs down} or just plain water.

give her a LITTLE prune juice mixed in with her formula/milk. That should help. If she doesn't poop by tomorrow, I would call the Dr. Also, if she's been spitting up her food, there might not be enough in her to have a bowel movement. And remember, it is flu season, so take extra care. Best wishes!

My 6 month old went through a phase like this at about the same age as your daughter. Our doctor told us to just wait it out. At times my son went 6-7 days without pooping. If you sense that it is making her uncomfortable, try giving her a bath as the pressure from the water against their bellies sometimes makes them go. If that doesnt work, my doc suggested rectal stimulation with a q-tip (with vasoline on it, of course). We did this a couple of times and it worked very well and isnt as gross as it sounds!

My son got out of this phase after about 3 weeks. Hope this helps!

It is normal for babies not to poop everyday, particularly breastfed babies who regularly go up to 7 days because breastmilk is almost completely digested.

She is probably just going through a growth spurt or some other temporary disruption.

So long as she is making enough wet diapers she is fine. Check out the link to figure out how many and how wet "wet" is.

Just a little backed up, probably has a tummy ache. You can rub her tummy clockwise (if you're looking at her face to face) and sometimes that will help. If this continues, I'd call the doc tomorrow as Friday is a holiday for a lot of offices in the US :)

Try some juice. Dilute it so it's half and half. Keep breastfeeding or giving her bottles. Some babies won't poop for a few days, so sometimes it's not a problem. If you feel it is, call her doctor. They can tell you what they would want you do.

one day without poop isn't really a big deal (especially if the child is breastfed). just check to make sure she doesn't have a fever. If the diapers are completely dry, that might be a problem. But if the child is urinating normally, they should be okay
