you have great taste in music! awesome! i see that you are into progressive rock. trust me, you will love Porcupine Tree. they are a prog/alternative/metal mix. really great stuff. try these songs "arriving somewhere ... but not here", "blackest eyes", "hatesong", "shesmovedon", "waiting phase 1".

i doubt you're into R&B and hip hop but that's just my theory in general. Most dance clubs only play r&b, hip hop, pop and dance/trance. All the music these people gave you are Alternative/rock/medal etc.
I listen mostly to R&b and hip hop but some people in the states think it;s crap music so it;s up to you.
