"Public anger with Congress continues to rise, and anti-incumbent sentiment has reached new highs, according to the latest survey of 1,501 Americans conducted June 14-19 by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press. The sour public mood currently favors the minority party,"

Yes, the Democrats have "defaulted" their way back into power and you want them to give you affordable health care. HOW did they "default"?
WHY can't you get health care from Bush? You have waited for the Democratic party to get back in and give you health care. I am confused. You are obviously in favor of Bush but he can't give you what is your right and need.
I also think you are lying about your blood tests and doctor visit. There is no way in hell you were charged that much for what you said......."one doctor visit and 2 blood tests".

"...defaulted their way" ???? I just heard a quote of Tom Delay on CNN saying, in essence, the republicans didn't lose, the democrats won. Which is about as rational as "I may not always be right, but I'm never wrong." & I'm not bashing Tom, just the nonsense in what he said. As for healthcare, I'm always optimistic, not sure why except one can always hope. I think your experience was HORRID, & obviously, the doctor didn't really care (a COMMON complaint these days). I have an indigent friend who can't afford insurance, & with MediCal, he has to wait over four months for tests that could possibly save his life. It's awesome. I've "heard" that lobbyists, oil & pharmaceutical companies who contribute so much to politicians are truly running our government, so what does that say? My politcal persuasion, if I had any, isn't relevant here, so I can safely say that democrats got the congress because of the people's vote.

What a guy! What do you expect from the Democrats, the new Congress hasn't even met yet. You gave Bush and the Republican controlled congress 6 years to do something on healthcare, and now you are expecting the Democrats to take care of bills you incurred under the Republican era. If they help you out, will you still claim it was by "default"?

Healthcare is big business in this country, and sadly big business tends to run the country more so then politicians or the little people. I wouldn't hold out hope on seeing it become affordable, or even reasonable.

Don't look for much to change. There's still a d.ickhead in the Whitehouse, and the Dems don't have a big enough margin to override a veto.

Unlikely. Though they have a majority, they don't have a margin that is good enough for any significant legislative changes.
