This is your friend be honest with her and let her know that things are not working out for you and you want her to leave. If she is a single mother I am sure she can apply for low income housing in your area. Take her down to your local housing authority . She can find somewhere for her and her child to live and still go to school(on the bus line)

Well, you know best on her financial situation. Could you check with assisted housing for her and the child? I guess the only real option you have is be open and honest that you need your own space. Maybe you could help her with seriously looking for a place, talk to her, that is your best option.

You should simply try to hint about getting a new place..say things like "so do you want to live in a apt or a house?" it will make he start having to wonder what she wants to do. if she doesn't have anywhere to go, is she paying you for utilities? is she paying anything towards you? if its a matter of money, you need to encourage her to save towards a place of her own..if it isn't about money, then you need to help her start looking for a place. if she gets mad at you, she has no right to be. you have given her a roof over her head and she needs to be thankful.
