Republicans are ruining this country. I'm a Democrat/Independent. Here's why:

Iraq war - this was a Republican thing from the beginning. Its going to cost us from $1-2 trillion. For what? We are much less secure because of this war and our military is stretched to the breaking point.
Torture - our President and his cronies have seriously harmed our world moral standing due to their policies of torturing their politcal prisoners. It will be very hard for us to reclaim this.
Budget deficits - we had a surplus when Clinton left office. Now the Republicans spend like there's no tomorrow. Our kids will inherit huge debts.
Christian crazies - the Republican party is mostly run by a bunch of religious zealots that think the most important issues facing this country are harassing gay people and telling everyone else what they can do with their own body.
Corruption - Bob Ney, Tom Delay, Abramoff, etc., etc.
Energy Policy - they don't have one, except to drill for more oil. The money we pay for oil...it just goes straight to the people who are paying for the terrorists.
Tax Cuts - see budget deficit above.
Partisan Politics - Rush Limbaugh, Micheal Medved and he rest...these Republican attack dogs do nothing but ratchet up the political divisiveness to a level where everyone forgets were in this together.

No. I am a registered Independent. Yesterday, I voted for some Democrats, a couple Republicans, a Libertarian, and a Green. I refuse to be categorized. Neither party deserves my loyalty.

I am a Moderate Republican. It is a sad day for our government, and citizens who care about it, at least in my state, West Virginia, people always for local offices vote for a straight democratic ticket, they were representatives who did not even campaign and won a seat in our House of Delagates, just because they are Democrats, it makes me really sad.

I'm a Conservative. Republicans and Democrats are one in the same. They both want to take our money and have us beg for through entitlements.
