See if you can talk to the doctors alone. Try talking to your friend alone if possible to see if you can convince her to tell the doctors the truth.

I think that it would be the responsible action to take. There may be some problem with diagnosing your friend and if this has to do with drugs or alcohol then this information can be helpful in planning a course of medical treatment. Call the ICU and ask to speak to her nurse and give the information anonymously if you are afraid that she may be angry with you.

You should be a friend and tell her family because what if the doctor don't know why this happened and need a reason to help her how would you feel? also what if she die knowing it was something you could have done to save her you would never forgive yourself, be a good friend that you are and help her.

Well if your wrong than why would you tell? If you were 100% sure why you could tell but your not so ....Also any ideas why this is happening might be good for the hospital to know. So they know where to start.

Is your telling the reason going to help with her treatment? As I see it, it doesn't matter as long as they can treat the damage now. But if knowing the cause (like if it's poison) could help save her then you really have to put that first.

Don't say anything until you know for sure. She might not want the word ot get out, and it could cause her more pain then she already is in. Try to give her comfort in this time of trouble. Talk to er about it. Don't say anything else.

Pick up the phone and make the call, you don't have to leave your name and just briefly explain what you think or better yet know what is a possible cause.

I would tell.
She'll thank you for it in the end when she is all better.
I mean really could you live the guilt of knowing that you could of saved her life if you would of told?

If it could benefit your friends conditions, why wouldn't you tell?
Would you rather her be dead, or have a second chance at life and maybe be mad for a little while?
