Well looking at the American version of Answers Yahoo and the UK version some of those same questions are on both so obviously it's a shared thing. Your thinking people are being rude and posting on the UK site and they're not they are posting from the American site. In other words you have your panties in a wade over something nobody here can control. If you want to rant about it send an email to yahoo. Besides that both sites are open publicly and when you ask a question you ask it to everyone. It doesn't even matter if someone addresses it to certain people like "Just for men" or "Just for Christians" anyone is allowed to answer and if you don't like that I suggest you ask your questions else where.

Whoa ! watch out for the backlash!
I asked this question once too, as I genuinely did not understand why posting on the UK site I was getting Americans answering.
There should be a choice of whether you want the question on the UK site only or all over the world.
I have lost count of the number of times I have seen UK posters told to go to the ER room or Sears , or get to the drug store and get some Tylenol !
Their information can be misleading and could even be dangerous in the case of someone asking medical advice.
It would help if they knew to specify US site only questions (as I have UK site only) rather than all English questions, as they tend to presume that all questions written in ENGLISH are written in AMERICAN. (and then get very shirty when you tell them you posted on the UK site)

Yes, I do - also by American-oriented questions posted here!
But to be fair to our transatlantic cousins, the fault surely rests with Yahoo, this is linked as Yahoo Answers UK and Ireland, so surely they should put some sort of filter up.
Unless, of course, the offending Americans have actually chosen to post on a UK&I section, in which case 'Yankee go home' seems in order!

While it is annoying, I take a philosophical view and think that the more US answers posted to the UK and Irish section, the better informed everyone will be about the American educational standards and thought processes.

I can see your point. If I was to ask what people though of tonight's (quite frankly excellent) epsode of Torchwood I would be annoyed if a lot of people from other countries just kept saying that they have not seen it.
Of If I asked what is the best chip shop in Glasgow I don't think finding out they sell cheap doritos in Walmart in Glasgow, Kentucky would help me a lot.
Anyway just don't let it get you down.

I'm gonna assume this doesn't apply to me, since I always know what I'm talking about.
By the way, I didn't go looking for this question. It popped up on the site I've always been on.

Because like you, they assume the whole world rotates around them.and that everyone wants their opinion. If you are in the UK, why do you have Canada grl as your user name? Don't you think that offends us Canadians as much as American rudeness does you?
