The mass of a teaspoon is probably closer to 20 grams than
50 grams. There are 454 g in 1 pound. If you don't have a balance to measure the mass, then visualize how heavy a one pound box of sugar is. Now think of drying the silverware when
you are doing the dishes. How many spoons do you imagine
you could hold in the dish towel at once to weigh the same as that box of sugar? Probably about 20-25, which would make each spoon about 20g.

Well...
50kg is how much a teenager should wiegh.
5 kg is how much a 2 month old is supposed 2 weigh.
50g seems to be the most logical answer, but its still a bit too heavy

Think about this one. 50 kg is roughly 110 pounds, about the weight of a small person. 5 kg is roughly 11 pounds, about the weight of a bag of potatoes. A teaspoon is fairly small, and usually is not made from an incredibly dense material.
