Just wanted to say well done America for voting in yr mid terms. I always failed to see why Americans had continued to support Bush now i see that u didn't. There is hope now for us all for the future.

For the person asking 'why'
well a few reasons but i guess as an english woman, most english ppl were appalled at the lies about weapons of mass destruction as an excuse to go into iraq for the oil. Jeez there r so many dictators in the world but did America and UK go in, no course not, cos there was no oil.
The results for me show that voters have now at last seen the truth. Good that yr Sec of Defence has gone too in my opinion. He was the start of it and main war monger.

Yeah, lets take a leaf out of their book and do the same to our bunch of idiots, mind you all our parties are as bad as each other. We need a party that will actually do what the majority of us want.

Really great news, and it won't be too bad for the image of Americans abroad (maybe they do think after all and in the future there might even be hope for the voters in the UK). There remains one question, will the democrats go for the jugular, because the way Bush has screwed and mislead the nation of Iraq and Afghanistan, along with his cronyism and messing with the supreme court, he surely deserves it...impeachment.
I think that the world has had enough of the two liars Bush and Blair. Their terms in power have been terrible for the world, but I have a feeling that their downfalls will be a great pleasure for us all.

Thank you. I guess. No, I haven't supported him for a very long time now. He was ok when he was just Governor. So who knew he would do such a bad job as President? But then again, Texas wasn't suddenly throwin into chaos during his term in Austin.
I do know that when he was the owner of the Texas Rangers, it was his job to design the new Texas Ranger ballpark over in Arlington. It's a beautiful stadium, but I've never forgiven him for not putting a roof on it. If you've ever had to sit through an afternoon game in July or August, you'd understand.

The last time I checked, we're supposed to be a government of,by and for the people. If the majority of the PEOPLE here don't want troops in Iraq and elsewhere, shouldn't they be pulled out ? I guess it's too naive and a little over-simplified.

It was good to see that the champagne bottle out of which red white and blue confetti shot into the air, was held in the hands of a Democrat, keep it up! and congratulations

I don't understand why anyone could have a problem with Bush. He said himself that Jesus wants him to be president.

Thank God for the Democrats! Now maybe we'll see some change! Now all we have to worry about is controlling the Senate! YES!
