How did you vote on the controversial propositions yesterday? Like the illegal immigration ones, the English official language one, the voter's lottery one, or the gay marriage one. I'm just curious what sort of people use yahoo! answers. Feel free to explain why or why not you voted for something as well. :)

i didn't vote for all of them - but the ones you mentioned i did vote for. i voted to make english the official language, i voted for the restrictions on bail/civil claims for illegals - i voted for the lottery (why the hell not wil a mil when you vote) and the gay marriage was horribly written & there already is a law defining marriage in az, so i voted against that one as well.

i voted for all the illegal immigration props. the lottery prop was just dumb that was a no. the gay marriage i voted yes on, and i was honestly surprised that it did not pass.

I also voted no on both smoking ban props, b/c i dont think that the gov't has any place saying what business owners can and can't do as far as smoking in their establishments. If the bar owners in favor of 201 actually cared about the health and safety of their bar patrons and employees as they claimed, why didn't they ban smoking at their bar? There is no reason that they could not have before this election.
