It's a close race. This is ludricous!!! Does anybody know what's taking those guys so long? Did the rain get the ballots wet, or did someone spill their latte in the ballot box???

Absentee ballots. I've heard that about 50% of the state votes absentee. It makes sense to me that its a larger percentage in some districts than others. Also, doesn't that district include parts of three different counties? That should make things nice and confusing.

Well, look how long it took them with the Dino Rossi - Christine Gregoire debacle. The Democrats will take as long as they want to, and recount as many times as they need to, to ensure victory.

11/14 - Well, she just conceded the election; even though the Democrats have whomped the Republicans this time around, she did not even win a majority vote in King County. They have counted 90% of the votes and she is behind by about 5000. Way too many for a recount.

I was thinking the same thing about the Virginia race, although that one is 99% complete.
