When I due on a period, I put on about 4 to 5 pounds , through water retention, does anyone know how i can reduce this or even stop it.or any good things to take for it.

whoever wrote about pmt saying just put up with it you abviously havent had to put up with pmt before

Don't mess with it. It's a natural process so don't fight it.

You need to do two things:

1. Read "Fertility, Cycle and Nurtition" it contains a lot of great advice on ow what you eat can influence your cycles and PMT!
2. Take Optivte. I take two a day and it really helps regulate my cycles and increases my luteal phase.

Drink loads of water and eat lots of fruit, especially apples. x

It's really just what your body does. It's the natrual way of life, and almost any way of stopping it is unhealthy.

If drinking water doesn't help, just put up with it. It's only once a month.

i wouldn't worry about it if your not in any sort of discomfort. it's not exsactly a time of the month you feel like showing off your body and getting Special attention.

there are tablets in the local tesco/chemist. Not sure how well they work
