As I believe there are some limitaions as a foreigner.

I believe that you can lease and operate the bar, but you must have Filipino staff doing the work, and you should have a local manager.
I've had many friends trying a bar, but the only ones who succeed are the ones in the tough girlie bar business, or those with upper end bars/restaurants.
Watch your location, don't try too hard to compete with the local owned bars, and keep a very good eye on your books/till!

This tequila Mike is making out he knows the Philippines but he talking a load of bull. Yes, you can lease a bar and run it, you can even own it, but you cannot own the land it stands on. You dont have to employ Filipinos but if you dont it will not be a successful business.

i beleive you have to incorporate your company. and it has to be 5 members. and majority should be a filipino. i.e. if he's 39% yours will be 38%. why don't you just buy a condominium. foreigners are allowed to own condos under their names. but not houses because it has a solo lot.
