You will detonate soon. Keep holding it in like that and sooner or later you will blow. Since it's been 3 days already, you could go any minute.
Hasta la vista, baby.

Been there. I know it's embarrassing and it sucks. Try taking a daily fiber supplement and stool softener to get regular. When i went to my doctor she told me the longer it sits in the anus, the end of the intestine, it compacts and hardens because moisture is lost while it sits there. the longer it sits the more it hurts. Start taking those supplements immediately because i got an anal fissure by not doing anything about it. I would go days without bowel movements. An anal fissure is tearing of the anal tissue, you'll see a lot of blood and clumps of stuff in the toilet, not poop, but the tissue itself. I freaked out and went to the ER, and let me tell ya having some doctor put there finger in your butt is not fun, extremely embarrassing too. They told me what it was and said it would heal itself as long as i had normal movements. If you have some poop sitting at the end of the ride but don't want to come out try an enema, i know it's not fun but it's more natural than laxatives. Use one that's water based not oil based. Had same problem with it hurting when it wants to come out, but you have to try, keeping it in will only make it hurt worse later. The supplements and enema's are over the counter and are fairly cheap. Good luck

You are severely constipated, and yes it can last for a year if you don't do something about it. Constipation is not life threatening on it's own, but it will lead to hemmorhoids which are very painful. The best and simplest way is to change your diet. It needs to include more fruit, vegetables, salads and whole grains. You also need to drink lots of liquids, water is best- but any liquids are better than none. Add things like raisins and prunes to your diet, if you can. Eat the whole apple down to the core, including the skin. Go easy on the meat, white bread, noodles and cheese.
Laxatives are a very harsh way to deal with the problem on a regular basis, and your system will become dependant on them. They are useful on the rare occasion, but as a rule, most doctors recommend you use a stool softener and adjust the diet. The trouble with a laxative is that it solves the problem at this moment, but then the body tries to recover and you get rebound constipation after the laxative diarrhea is over. You get into a viscious circle of constipation and laxative caused diarrhea, and eventually the other problems show up.
You should never hold yourself so long, never any longer than needed to find a bathroom to relieve yourself. At the moment, you need to form a habit of having patience and allowing your body to work naturally as it should. That means sitting and waiting for things, rather than trying to avoid them or rush them. It also means answering the call to go when it comes.
If you can make the changes in your diet, things should regulate themselves to make you more comfortable. But you have to continue eating the proper way. You can't live on burgers, fries and soda, and expect your body not to suffer. Your daily intake of veg needs to be more than the lettuce on the burger.
Once you make the diet changes, your system will find it's own pattern. Most folks go once a day, though some less often. You should never have to strain, it should never be painful, and you should not depend on things like laxatives, stool softeners, or even enemas to stay regular.
Your mom may not realize how long you have had this trouble, and you need to speak with her about it. You may need to visit the doctor for some help, but it may be that she can help you as far as the diet changes you need to make. I'm sure she knows what foods are troublemakers for you, and what foods help move things along, and can help you in that area a great deal. Talk with your mother first, and see what she can do to help you out. Change your eating habits, and the other will improve.

Its no longer painful. Its particularly uncomfortable and in many situations the physician will communicate over with you by the technique to make you sense extra comfortable. there's a breast examination wherein the physician rubs searching for lumps. there is the pap smear wherein a gadget is inserted into your vagina so as that the physician can swab your cervix. That section is particularly uncomfortable, yet rapid. Then there is the pelvic examination wherein the physician places 2 hands on your vagina and with the different hand presses particularly on your abdomen to ascertain your ovaries and uterus. If throughout the time of the pelvic examination you sense any soreness tell the physician, it is going to no longer be painful. this is it. desire this enables.

I think I would go see a doctor. Dont become so dependent on the ex-lax because then you will have serious problemstrying to go to the bathroom. Try taking a tablespoon of flaxseed oil once a day, that should loosen things up and its more natural.

I sometimes get constipations so bad I have to get a prescription from my Dr. for Lactolose. Honest, it put me in the hospital a couple of years ago....it became a compaction & that is DANGEROUS. You might try using Metamucil capsules or stool softeners. I feel for ya' Good luck.

You just need a stool softener. You can get them in pill form. Take them every day (they aren't a laxative) and you will poop much easier. You should NEVER hold it. I know it hurts, but that can make you really sick.
Phillips makes a good stool softener in a capsule. Take a couple of those everyday. It really works.

you must be eating too much cheese or bread or something
for now you should drink more water and take a stool softener.
In the long run you will need to eat more fiber (like fresh vegetables) and you will have to start drinking more water than you do now, after that, it wont hurt, both in your stomach and when you go poop.
GOOD LUCK!!!

my little had this problem for a long time. You probably don't want to do this but it may be time to see a doctor. Look in your phone book for a gastroenterologist. And if you don't have a bowel movement for 5 days it is probably time to go to the ER.

Go to a doctor. You may have a rectal fissure, hemorrhoids, an impacted bowel or many other things. If you are straining and it hurts this bad you need help.

I would definitely consult with your doctor about this. I used to have the same sort of pain after having my baby and it turned out to be nasty hemorrhoids. It could also be a hernia. There are other possibilities as well. Call your doctor.
