I am the BIGGEST Jerry Rice fan ever, but I said NCAA, not including their pro careers.

Calvin Johnson is definatly one of the best wide recievers in the ncaa and WILL be. he plays for georgia tech and boy has he been great and i dont know what we'll do without him. the only problem is people don't think he is the best because he doesn't have the best record of catches because our qb (Reggie Ball) never throws to him and the ones he does throw, most of them are bad but Calvin manages to catch them. that's why he is the best.

The best ever college (all divisions) wide out was Jerry Rice. 310 receptions for 4,856 yards and 51 touchdowns. But the best in Division I-A would be Troy Edwards from La. Tech - 280 grabs for 4352 yards and 50 touchdowns.

There are a few other guys of note but these two were the best in their respective divisions.

P.S. Braylon's stats are as follows: 252 catches, 3,541 yards, and 39 TDs. Those are great stats but there are at least 10 guys with better stats than that all time.

you hav to be a michigan fan. braylon edwards is the best NCAA receiver in the past 5 years. The best NCAA receiver of all-time definitely has to be Jerry Rice...no way Braylon Edwards is the best of all-time!!

Jerry Rice, hands down. He completely dominated, and he was able to go to the NFL after playing at a 1-A school. And he didn't just go to the NFL, he dominated there too. Hall of Famer for sure.

i cant speak for the past, but in the last couple of years i would say either tyrone prothro from alabama or calvin johnson from georgia tech. most of you know that prothro made the catch of the year (i say of all time) last year and then hurt his leg. he had plenty more amazing catches and was very consistent until he got hurt. calvin is amazing. even without a decent qb he still manages to put up incredible yards. and almost every time he gets the ball he turns it up field for even more yards

I don't know his name, but some receiver from the University of New Hampshire just broke a receiving record for career TD's or yards.
