Go to a cash advance also get your relatives to go to a cash advance and help you. First call the police department and report your landlord for constructive eviction and the humane society for cruelty to animals. I don't know about your state but you should have got a letter going to court first or a writ of eviction. Check because in some states it is unlawful for a landlord to lock you out without being given 30 days notice and then it goes before a judge too. The police may escort you back to your apartment or home. Please let me know what happens. Please call the police tell them the circumstances and find out! Also if there is anything missing from your apartment or you have any damages resulting from being kept from your apartment because of an illegal eviction file charges too.

Did your landlord have a court order before he did this?

If he didn't, get your butt down to the courthouse and tell the clerk you were locked out illegally. It's called a self-help eviction and it's illegal. You can get a court order to let you back in.

Your landlord is allowed to evict you, but he has to follow the proper procedure set out by the law. If he didn't lawfully evict you, you can get damages.

First of all, even if your locks were changed, the landlord needs to let you in to get your stuff. Second, the best way to get money quickly is to go to a charity.

Your landlord cannot lock you out of the home for debt.

Go to legal aid ASAP, and you should be able to get damages against the landlord for an illegal eviction.

did u have prior notice that u r leaving?
My old roommate never paid rent, for three months he just came and gone as he pleased. Suddenly he was surprised when I told him to give me his key.
'How will I get my stuff?' Well, you have to call me, and find out my hours, otherwise you are not welcomed here.
'But thats my stuff.'
Yeah, but I can't have you leaving me and the landlord with debt. You come grab your stuff, and go.
'But I'm saving my money for my wedding.'
sob, sob, cry to someone else
he never came back for his items, so they were pawned to pay for the bill that he owed.

Guess you should have been paying your rent, huh? Don't look for sympathy or advice from me. I hate people who don't pay their bills.
