all i can say, in my experience, is the paid for version of bareshare.
It worked for me, still does, and for the cost of one cd, and a half,,, ive got so much stuff.
This is only my experience, but nothing is for free.
Why not, find out how to do a system re format, and "play", no virus can exist, on a music cd! put up with the adverts and spyware, download loads, burn it off....and reformat.

By far the best sw for windows is emule, in my experience.
Easy to install and use, quite safe, enormous quantities of music, movies, software, etc available.
You must have adsl, but that applies to any other sw as well.
Other softwares may be even more powerful, but not so easy to use. You don't sound like a great expert, so download emule, just read the "getting started" help (short and clear) and go.

I recommend using MORPHEUS.... http://www.morpheus.com

I have never had an issue with spyware/viruses. Just dont click YES or ACCEPT to the toolbar it attempts to install ( while the toolbar is not a virus or spyware, no one wants a toolbar in their browser for a P2P program).

The main way people get viruses using P2P (Peer to Peer) software is they download things other than music, such as programs or applications or patches or game demoes... These usually come as compressed files like .zip or .rar, sometimes even .exe executable files... and are usually LOADED with viruses...

DO not get limewire, it has spyware loaded into it.
DO not get bearshare, it downloads a form of spyware that does not harm your computer, but it does slow it down.

Get Morpheus and only use it to download music...

HOWEVER I HIGHLY recommend NOT downloading illegal music at all, if you get caught, you will be Pwned for sure...

It is better to get all your friends CDs everytime you see them, and simply RIP them to your computer... Which may or may not be legal I dont know, but its safer than using a program that you always can potentially be caught on.

If you want to see a list of avialable P2P Client programs for wha you want it for, go to http://www.download.com and in the search bar simply type "P2P" without the parenthesees of course.

One last NOTE: P2P File sharing programs themselves are NOT, I repeat NOT ILLEGAL, they are perfectly LEGAL to have on your machine...

HOWEVER what you download is of your own descretion and certian items you may download, such as MUSIC, is HIGHLY ILLEGAL.

Can't recomend anywere to you as I'm an old fart and hopeless at this stuff, however I reckon as long as you accept that it is illegal to dowload the copyrighted stuff, good luck to you.

File sharing incourages interest in music, promotes unknown artists that don't get a look in with the big boys and has caused increased album sales according to GENUINE research so enjoy.

Hang on I just got to turn over my LP (joking)

The Piratebay and distinctive different torrent sites alongside with BtJunkie and Isohunt. they're lots extra stable than Limewire and safer. you will would desire to place in Utorrent utility, it basically takes a minute then use that utility to acquire the song from the torrents, only acquire the torrent, import the torrent to the utility and it will acquire the song or video quickly. You get complete albums and covers yet you could untick any song which you do no longer % to acquire.
