Mr Tupac Shakur is the greatest rapper f them all.

When I listen to his songs now, they sound like they are still new!
Its reall rap. Other rappers have tried to copy him, his style but cant get close.
I cant think of another rapper as good as 2Pac though Biggie Smalls comes close

In my opinion Eminem, but there are so many others i rate, this is a hard question. Without a doubt 2Pac was a legend, Dr Dre goes without saying, and LL Cool J is a great rapper with a long spanned career. But i cant take anything away from 50 Cent, Jay Z, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and of course P Diddy. God, i like them all.

Michael Wright, Big Bank Hank and Master Gee would have to share that honor, I think, since they more or less invented rap in 1979. There are those who would credit the Fatback Band, but you said "best" not "first". Every rapper since 1979 has basically just been copying The Sugar Hill Gang, or copying someone who copied them!

All rappers are materialistic egomaniacs. They all talk rubbish about how much money thay have, how much jewellery they have, how many bullet wounds they have, how big their alloy wheels are and how they have women falling over them. And they all have a penchant for reminding you of their name, several times during a "song".

Personally I think they should act like real men, get a decent belt for their trousers, stop wearing Elizabeth Duke style jewellery, get wheels that look as if they are meant for their cars and not monster trucks, and learn to speak English.

2Pac?! Ridiculous!

It's a toss up between Q-Tip and MCA from the Beastie Boys. That lazy style always works for me. Plus both were groundbreakers of their time.

2Pac?! Pah!

Jay-Z I don't know but there is something about his style that makes him good, also unlike so other rappers he doesn't seem arrogant. In interviews he seems well spoken and down to earth and polite. Also he came from harsh beginnings and look at him now he's a CEO and he has work with lots of artists that all like and respect him

Chuck D for the authority in his voice and intelligent lyrics.

KRS-One for being the Teacher and educator.

Rakim for his smooth flow and intelligent teachings.

Kool Keith for his abstract rhymes.

Blade for his raw flow

Kamanchi Sly of Hijack for his machine gun delivery.

Take your pick :)
