Watching Dad's army the other day I found it mildly amusing, like I do most old comedies. But none of them really make me laugh like 'Arrested Development', 'Family Guy' or 'The Simpsons'. I know a lot of people with similar opinions

i think it has just evolved. if u go back to the 50's, the humor was completely different than it is now. we have become more open and less uptight over the years so it takes more to make us laugh.
