where do i find auditions?

i'm realy interested in the entertainment industry and my dream would be to have a role in a movie. Does anyone reccomend any free websites that tell when movie or play auditions are?

Look in your local paper for auditions at your local community theater, or for TV shows/movies broadcasting in your area. Listen to entertainment shows like ET, The Insider, Extra, E!, etc. about auditions like for American Idol. Watch TV and listen to the radio. Check your local TV news station's website. There's usually a number on craigslist.

Check in your area for casting agents. They usually post things on their website.

It would be a good idea to sign up with the casting agencies for extra work. You'd get experience (though low pay), and would become known to the agency.

It would also be a good idea to take some acting classes so you have something to bring to the audition.

Subscribe to the TRADES. If you like acting and truly have a talent, you will know what I mean by the TRADES. People with such passions are truly capable to doing their homework and finding information. However, be careful of the con artists out there who will take your money for promises they cannot under any circumstances ever deliver.

I dont know if you're in the Uk - you didnt specify - but theatre listings and upcoming auditions are usually in The Stage newspaper, which you can find online :)
