My nephew was about 28 weeks when he was born. He weighed 3 1bs. 4 oz. He was developed jaundice after a few days, but they just put him under a light for a few days and he was alright. He had to be in an incubator of course and had to have and i.v. for a little while because he had trouble sucking. He started eating from a bottle after a couple of weeks and we just waited for him to add a little more weight so he could go home. He was able to leave when he was 4 lbs. 8 oz. He has been fine ever since.

There is no good answer to your question. One baby could be born at 32 weeks and be fine and another born at 36 weeks and spend 2 weeks in the NICU with respiratory distress. Every baby is different.

Why are you concerned that your baby may come early? If there are physical things going on you should let your doctor or midwife know about it. You really want to try and carry your baby full term. "Term" is considered 37 - 42 weeks, but the healthiest babies are usually those born between 40 - 41 weeks. Early is not a good thing!

well if you are seeing a doctor there are drugs to prevent you going into premature labor

Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters, each three months long. The third trimester begins at about 28 weeks, the first week when a preterm fetus is considered physically fit to live. Before this age major developmental events that would allow the fetus to survive outside the womb have not yet occurred.

In humans, birth normally occurs at 37 to 42 weeks. Childbirth occurring before 37 weeks is considered preterm, childbirth after 25 weeks is usually considered physically fit to live.

The doctors have ways of stopping your labor now unless your water breaks....My cousin and my neice were both born 26weeks and they were both great. If the doctor doesnt think that the baby is developed enough then they can stop your labor but you are just about there with it so you should be fine.
