from what I learned in school it was to take water or liquids from the bladder to the out ward part of the body to be released.

tell you EVERYTHING? I think you can probably find what you need in your book or online. That'll be a whole lot faster than waiting for someone to tell you EVERYTHING about the small intestine. Plus, you might actually learn something interesting and worthwhile.

Basically the smaill intestine is involved in digestion of foods and absorption of nutrients.

unfortunately it's to long to write . it's a tubular structure between the stomach and the colon. it's about 6 meters long. it's responsible for the absorption of nutrients.
