Deepseated hidden Issues in Flyerland?

Question

Right before Hitchcock was fired Hitch and Esche had a heated arguement but no-one seems to know the details.

Phila plays great sometimes - all of them, but as we all know, sometimes aint gonna cut-it.

If you watch these guys play it looks like they're not even trying. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they play a million times better then they're currently playing. With the accpetion of a few (Carter, Gagne & Forsberg) it seriously looks like they just don't give a sh-it.

To me it looks like the moral has been destroyed but what destroyed it?

Constant scrutiny i would think. That team has been under the gun for years now. They just cant pull the trigger in the playoffs, kinda like Ottawa. Look at all the changes both these teams have endured because of it. Both Ottawa and Philly have had very weak goaltending in the playoffs, both have been knocked out because of it. Both changed coaches a few times and still nothing to be proud about. Unlike Ottawa who seems to be stepping it up a bit, Philly has faltered and given up.
I think Forsberg and Esche need to be traded. Not because they are bad players cause they deffinately arnt but both look bitter and cant seem to keep up a trend. Atleast bring in some new blood to change things up. Gagne is the heart of the team and i think Nittymatti and Beauchemin should be able to guide them in the pipes.. Doesnt help that they dont have a proven coach yet and the upper management isnt really seeing eye to eye yet.. it all effects them and shows by how they are playing on the ice.

They just do not have the right group of guys. Forsberg is not a good captain. Hatcher always a leader has become useless in the league. No confidence in the net. They players know they are the worst team in hockey.
