Honestly, Sapphire, you have to study philosophy. You will find no greater example of a person who was asking your question and found an answer than the British poet, John Keats. Read his letters, and you will find your answer.

I wish you good luck - God knows we need more poets who think deeply.

You are speakme virtually reputation, in step with se, now not that it could be run at the equal strains (i.e. all approximately cash)? Also does "poetry" consult with studying AND writing it? Are you pondering it could result in global peace? Ha ha, I do not suppose it could. After all, respectable recreation isn't a few cohesive medium, a few quality uniter of one of a kind peoples. It is aggressive and divisive. How lengthy earlier than folks who write, as good as folks who learn poetry, made it their political software (which, most likely they are able to already do) and got here to treat each and every different with the equal animosity and dangerous-will that supporters of opposing sporting activities groups believe for each and every different? Poetry might already be trendy however now not "popularised" within the equal means that the picture of respectable recreation is - with its heroes, celebrities, glamour and myth. In any case, the inducement for in need of to put in writing poetry (extra so than in need of to learn it) will have to be very one of a kind from in need of to play a recreation as it isn't a sport however an artwork of expression. All in all, I do not suppose it is ever going to occur!
