I am not a bankruptcy lawyer, but I believe that you are allowed to keep one vehicle as long as you can still make payments on it. If the vehicle is leased then it doesn't enter into the bankruptcy proceedings at all.

First, I believe you can no longer file for bankruptcy. I believe you have to go to consumer credit counciling and get all the intreat stopped. They will advise you. The first consult is free and a very minimal charge to set up the program for you. they are working for the Government so, go to them not one that will try to get more money from you to do the same thing. they will help and take some of the weight off you. I believe when you file for bankruptcy they allow you to keep 1 car because you need some form of transportation for work and things like that.

you will lose your car unless you reaffirm the debt to the lender. In Oklahoma, you must get an attorney to file for bankruptcy.
