I am having a rough time getting pregnant after my second child. Due to having an irregular period. I am thinking about getting on the pill for a few months to regulate it. But i don't want to prolong this process anymore. For instance, by having too much birth control medicine in my body. Do anyone know. Only serious replys please this is very important to me. Thank you!

Why are you asking here instead of your Dr. ? We cannot examine you over the internet or know your medical hsitory.

I don't know how long you have been trying but keep in mind that you only have a 20% chance of getting pregnant in any given month. The first thing I would try if I were you would be to start (if you haven't already) doing ovulation tests - you can get them pretty inexpensively an Ebay. The second thing I would do is talk to your OB. I have never heard of the idea of going on birth control to regulate you to get pregnant. You would probably be better off trying Clomid to force ovulation. There are good, easy relatively inexpensive options your doc can help you with if you have been trying over 6 months with no luck.
Good luck!

I took the pill for 13 years and have been off for 3, actively trying to get pregnant with no luck. My sister missed a pill one month and got pregnant. There are so many variables to consider. Your doctor may be able to give you something else to regulate your cycles. Perhaps clomid? I am not sure but I would see what your doctor recommends.

I got pregnant the first month I was off the pill (I took it for five years). I had my period, at which time I stopped taking the pill, and I was pregnant before the next period ever came. Good luck!

has no effect, how much you take, my friend took pills for many years and ran out and very soon after she got pregnant. I took it for 2 years missed some and got pregnant. I suggest you ask your doc maybe it's something to do with your irregular period. Or you and your man take a break and wait till a week after your period and try to conceive

I went off my pills in february and have been given pregnant in march! My scientific professional advised me you will get pregnant as quickly as you provide up the pill (nonetheless for each lady it particularly is diverse) and that there are actually not any wellness matters on your toddler in case you get pregnant quickly upon getting off the pill. Having been on the pill does not impression the wellness or progression of your toddler

I never had a hard time getting pregnant after getting off the pill, having a hardtime since my IUD removal. But speak to your OB because it's different for everyone.

It is possible to get pregnant if you forget take them so it must not take long.

Each human is different, so is each type of pills.

Doctor shouldd be involved most are prescription only pills any way and doctor shoul be able to explain it.

Please see a doctor, you need him/her any way.

Well.... I was on the BCP for years..... went off them, and was preggers IMMEDIATELY... same with my second baby. Like, the 1st week or 2 after 'quitting' the pill I was pregnant.
FAST FAST.
My Dr. chuckled as she knew it would be an overly fertile time for me... right after quitting the pill.
Talk to your Dr.

If you are ovulating the day after you stop taking birth control, you can get pregnant. My husband's sister got pregnant the day after she stopped taking it.
